Keep this in mind as your doing Paleo: right now your body is massively sugar and process carb dependant. In fact your gut flora and enzyme levels are probably not even able to process fat and protein efficiently enough to keep you going. Slowly cut out carbs by reducing your sugar and starch (both are effectively the same exact thing) sources in your meals. I used to be very sweet potato dependant as i cut down but almost never eat them now. Don't go crazy, if you do it right this should be relatively painless. I suggest removing refined sugar from as many things as you can and replace with starchy foods like yams and sweet potatoes. Than slowly swap out some of the sweet potatoes for Carrots or some other more fibrous vegetables. Eventually cut out the starchy foods as much as possible and get your carbs from fibrous vegetables and the like.
This all being said the above is geared toward leaning out. Once you've leaned out and than need to bulk up you would than add back in some sweet potatoes or the like at a level required to promote better exercise performance. On a maintenance level you probably don't need any starchy vegetables or tubers, but you could probability add in a little more fruit and increase your fat and protein intake enough to meet performance requirements. Hope that helps.

Just got done doing my workout and I have to say that I am feeling pretty good about it. I really enjoy doing the Insanity Upper Body Workout (so far it's stayed fresh and familiar enough to do effectively) I like it for the good mix of cardio and weight training. I'm getting pretty anxious for P90X2 to come, so I'm just going to keep mixing it up a bit until they arrive.

I worked out for about an hour today. I started with the fit test since I haven't done it in 2 1/2 months and didn't do too bad considering. Improved in areas and lacked in others. I followed that with stair intervals for about 5 minutes (just to try it out) did single step/ double/ side / single jump. It was a quick heart rate boost. I followed that up with Insanity Upper Body less the warm-up for a total of 800 calories burned. Feeling pretty good.

WOW! Nice improvements to your PRs. Lately I haven't been in any mood to set records. I have been more focused on getting my diet solid. I want to lean out more but until I can stay serious about it I just don't see that I'm going to loose the weight. Can you believe that we'll be doing P90X2 in just a few weeks!? I couldn't be more excited. I think it is going to do a lot for our body composition.
