I'm glad you mentioned best "Mental" shape of your life. It's an aspect of these programs that I think is overlooked. Holding yourself accountable, having integrity, obtaining a deep mental focus, and maintaining a sense of accomplishment are all mental exercises I think come with these programs and help strengthen you from within as well.

Okay, so I did miss a couple workouts this week to take my kids to Silverwood. I plan on repeating the bulk of this week next week following the Fit Test to make up for lost ground. I'm gonna try and get in a run tonight or tomorrow time permitting following my workout. I'm disappointed in myself for missing, but I just need to refocus and move on. Diet fell off track this last week, so I'm re-centering on that as well. Got my work cut out for me. I've been on vacation which has been a lot of work at home as well and I've quickly learned that this vacation hasn't exactly helped in terms of good disciplined workout times.

222lbs/635kcal/Hi 172bpm/Av 143 45 minutes Pure Cardio It was supposed to be Cardio Abs as well, but I had to bail about 3 minutes or less into it because the itching my shoulders and back from the sunburn I got at the water park on Wed was just too much to bear at that point. It wasn't too bad for most of the Pure Cardio workout. I pushed myself much harder this time than before and am feeling a little better because of it. Will be back tomorrow and Sunday even though it's rest to make up some lost ground.

I rolled my left ankle right towards the end of the Insanity warmup on Cardio Power and Resistance. Tried to push through for about five minutes but it gradually worsened compromising my form. Gonna rest it tonight and see if I can do it tomorrow. Jumped off the back side of the mat doing jumping jacks. Was already towards the back of it and my dumb ass closed my eyes trying to concentrate and landed half the foot off the mat rolling the ankle. Soooo disappointed right now. Was going to do a run afterwards to compete with Howie's Cooper's Test. Hopefully tomorrow it's recovered enough to do it. Accidentally swapped days around. This hasn't been my week. Was going to push through and make up all the time lost this week, but I think at this point my best bet is to repeat the week after all. Will still do the Fit Test on Monday to track my progress.

That blows bud. Injuries are going to happen along your fitness journey. This may be your first injury but I can promise it won't be the last. I absolutely hate having to slow things down a bit to avoid and nurse injuries. Your drive to catch up is great but your focus now needs to be on recovery and learning how/what you can do to keep a routine but also help you recover. Good luck bud and be smart. You'll get through this soon enough.

I know. It just sucks. I'm feeling a lot better today and am going to try and do something. I worked through a rolled ankle at work about 4 or so years ago and about 2 1/2 hours into it I couldn't walk and I was laid up for over a week. Worse sprain then, but I just want to be careful and have the shortest recovery period possible.

222lbs/840kcal/Hi 166bpm/Av 140 61 minutes Fit Test and Cardio Power & Resistance I am redoing week two of Insanity because only 3 of 7 days was successful. My left ankle was doing much better today, but I couldn't push as hard as I've normally been able to. I did start with the fit test and improved on most of those numbers.

Wish I had more time today to fit in another workout of some kind. If I'm not spent after work, I may try and take an early morning run.

222lbs/155kcal RUNNING 12:07 2.02KM which also was my cooper time. Putting it against the chart, I fall in the average. I about 220 meters .2 km from falling into above average, so there's something to shoot for.

Dude! That's only .25 miles behind my fastest Coopers! I'mma have to step my game up if I plan to maintain my title of Fitness Guru. LOL Great work bud it really is shocking the improvements you're making. I'm also surprised at how well you are holding up to the additional workouts you're adding into the mix. I've really been struggling with adding more to what I already do and still maintain a satisfactory level of performance in my core workouts.

Haha, don't worry, you'll hold that title for a while. I've come a long way, but have even further to go before I'm satisfied. I want to add what I can where I can. That was a 4:30 AM run. Got home @ 3:30 and was going to go right then, but the battery on my phone was almost dead so I had to wait a few. It was nice though. It was like the first run I took a few weeks ago. I wanted to quit before the end of the block, but just forced myself to keep going. I hit the mental "play" button.

Hah! Yeah the hardest part of my run is the first mile. I always just want to stop running. Once I've passed that first mile I'm usually pretty good for the rest of the run. Not sure how long that feel lasts sense I've only run 10k in one stretch but I'd like to take a stab at a 1/2 marathon some time.
