Had a busy couple weeks so haven't had much time to post on the forum. Going strong so far this week with school starting. Kinda slacked last week a bit gearing up for school and just being plain lazy, but when I saw the 100% or better challenge I decided I needed to amp it up this week. Keep pressing play. Had to force the workout today, (exhausted from work) but now that the workout is done I feel refreshed and recharged.

It's time to get organized! I've just been selecting workouts loosely on the hybrid Howie posted based more specificly on what I enjoy and necessity for improvement as well. This weekend I'm going to be putting together a schedule for the next month until P90X2 comes out that will somewhat work better with my work, school, and my boys'. All that being said, Max Inerval Circuit is one of my favorite workouts even though it kicks my ass, so that will definitely work into the schedule. Any other workouts anyone would like to recommend integrating into the next month please let me know.

Today I really kicked the week into gear by starting with HIIT 15 to get the cardio going, moved right into Chest and Back, shortening and taking breaks only when needed, then straight into Ab Ripper X for a total workout time of 1:13 and 900kcal burned! It was a great variety and should be a good primer going into Max Interval Plyo tomorrow. If there's time, I may slip something else in there.

Nice dude! Good to see you pushing harder for better performance results. The 100% challenge week has really helped kick things up a notch. Don't let your effort last week go to waste, keep it moving forward into your future workouts.

Yeah part of that test is knowing just how hard you can push and when.

I did Kenpo X+ the other day. The last time I did it was at the end of my first P90X run and a couple times when i was easing into Insanity. It's been almost 2 months since doing them and while I felt I was being active my HRM was telling me otherwise. I wasn't getting much over 145 Max. I maxed a little higher than that during the course of the workout, but it would be hard to pinpoint where. I thought my HRM might not be working correctly, but all signs pointed to accuracy during the Max Interval Circuit warmup today. I guess what I'm saying is that now that I've been doing Insanity for a bit, neither Kenpo brings much in terms of heightened cardio or increased burn for me where at one point it offered more. My body is becoming more conditioned to the cardio in the Insanity workouts. For today's workout I decided to hybrid two workouts into one.I may implement this more in the future. I did the Max Interval Circuit warmup then threw in P90X: Chest Shoulders & Tris and FFWW'D to the start of the workout doing a few of the stretches that are key to that workout along the way. Did a total burn of 870 cals with an avg HR of 127 and max of 175 in 1:08. Overall, pretty happy with today's workout.

Haha yeah I was rereading the favorite workout section of the forum the other day and saw that your favorite used to be Kempo+ and wondered if it was still a fav of yours. P90x Cardio is definitely 2nd rate but it still has some great resistance programs. I hear one on one is a lot better at advanced workouts. I plan on testing out these workouts along with S90D this week and next. I can tell you that is ARX isn't enough for you anymore 1on1 has a Ab killer that steps it up a bit.

Feeling pretty great about today's workout and no, I'm not just going to come and brag on good days. I've had plenty of success between this post and the last, but today was exceptional given my recent schedule. Yesterday I wanted to get in a double but passed out for a bit instead and only got in the 1 on 1 Medicine Ball workout. I liked it enough I did it again today. I know convention says to change it up, but I wanted an opportunity to improve this time around and I think it makes a great warmup since I planned on getting in another workout today. I followed it up with Insanity Upper Body Training. I really like this one. You get the weight training and some cardio in there. I worked out just a little over 1 1/2 hours and burnt 1235 kcal according to the HRM. Good day overall. Needed the boost in confidence after yesterday's falling short.

That's awesome man! Yeah aerobics can be performed every day and the medicine ball workout is not all that high impact so you can probably do it every day and be just fine. I totally digest the med ball workout as well. Next time I do it I plan to really work one my speed. Keep it up man! This sounds like a great time and i can't wait to get back into this kind of training.

Alright, so Saturday was a big burner calorie wise. I did the Insanity weight training and before that began the one on one med ball workout again until the pc I was using crapped out mid workout. I still burned around 900 kcals once you figure in the Insanity workout. That evening I had a chance run and finally broke 5K in under 27 mins. Sunday I did the stretch workout because I needed to get a recovery day in and Monday I started getting sick and have been trying to rest, but with work, wasn't much of a success and I feel I'm getting worse. I get about 2 hours of sleep before I need to get up and get the kids school and daycare for a couple hours so I can rest then hopefully get in a workout sometime before work. I might end up losing another day to this though which I absolutely hate. I've come to look forward to my workouts. The good news is that in a couple weeks my time is going to free up substantially for a bit.

Missing an extra day to pull yourself together isn't a bad thing. Take the day off and come back with full focus. I'm sure your body can use the recovery time anyway.

Sorry haven't been on in a while. Got really busy going through the transition of losing my job where ironically will make me less busy and able to devote more time to exercise and life in general while I figure out the employment situation. Looking forward to the opportunity to have some time off and regroup though. Also got pretty sick, so that factored in as well.
