I've taken Creatine Monohydrate in the past and really liked the additional energy it supplied to my muscles, especially during weight lifting. Last week I decided to start taking this supplement again to help bump up my lifting reps and weight. From what I've learned about taking creatine it is best taken immediately after a workout and should be taken with a fast absorbed sugar (white grape juice is perfect). From what I hear citrus rich juices like OJ or Grapefruit are not good to mix with creatine because it breaks down the creatine before it can be absorbed. Apparently creatine is transported to the muscles via glycogen which is why it's so important to take it with a fast absorbing sugar solution. Additionally creatine works by hydrating the muscles so drinking plenty of water is very important.
